ACEC is urging Member Firms to write to their Congressmen and Senators in support of the reauthorization of the U.S. Export-Import (Ex-Im) Bank.
The Ex-Im Bank is a critical tool that allows U.S. engineering firms—and other U.S. industries—to compete against foreign competitors that are heavily supported by their governments. The Bank’s charter will expire at the end of September unless Congress acts.
"Failure to reauthorize the Bank would amount to unilateral disarmament in the face of other nations’ aggressive trade finance programs and put U.S. engineering firms at a competitive disadvantage in the global marketplace," said ACEC President Dave Raymond.
