Federal Energy Regulatory Commission (FERC) Commissioner Tony Clark and an expert panel will discuss opportunities for engineers in new U.S. energy markets at the upcoming 2014 ACEC Fall Conference in Hawaii, October 22-25.
Clark, who was appointed to FERC by President Obama in 2012 after serving as a member of the North Dakota Public Service Commission for 12 years, will address the "Development of America's New Energy Infrastructure."
Clark will be followed by a panel on "Opportunities in the Booming Energy Markets" that features Steve Bakken, Larson Engineering, Bismarck, N.D.; Tony Bartolomeo, CEO, Pennoni Associates, Philadelphia; and Kendall King, principal, Freese and Nichols, Forth Worth, Texas.
Also speaking at the Conference will be political analyst Charlie Cook on the mid-term elections; business strategist Erik Wahl on innovation and leadership; and Member Firm CEOs on the business outlook for 2015.
