California's worn-out roads are costing the state's drivers $44 billion annually, according to a recent report from The Road Information Program (TRIP).

The deteriorating infrastructure increases vehicle operating costs, causes congestion-related delays, and results in more traffic accidents. TRIP estimates that Los Angeles drivers pay $2,458 more annually because of the bad road conditions.
