ACEC/PAC sets Fundraising Record with $210K at Fall Conference

Through its annual Fall Sweepstakes, which sold out all 800 tickets, raffle of a painting created by General Session speaker Erik Wahl, second annual "Wake Up with ACEC/PAC Breakfast" for major donors, and annual golf tournament, ACEC/PAC brought in a Fall Conference record of more than $210,000.

In the sweepstakes, Lawrence Fox, OBEC Consulting Engineers in Eugene, Ore., won the $10,000 Grand Prize, Robert Israel, EJM Engineering in Chicago, Ill., won the $5,000 second prize, and Rick Moore, City Point Partners in Boston, Mass., won the $2,500 third prize. The $1,000 prize winners were Anthony Barnett, Engineering Associates in Thermopolis, Wyo.; Lisa Brothers, Nitsch Engineering in Boston, Mass.; Mary Hall, GZA Geoenvironmental in Boston; Philip Houser, the Farnsworth Group in Bloomington, Ill.; Ko Ishikura, Green International in Westford, Mass.; Andrea Ryon, Michael Baker in Alexandria, Va.; and David Winter, Hart Crowser in Seattle, Wash.

Lenny Reidling, Guida Surveying in Irvine, Calif., won the painting by Erik Wahl and Vicki LaRose, Civil Design in Saint Louis, Mo.; won the $250 second prize.

The winning low gross foursome for the golf tournament were ACEC/Il Executive Director Dave Bender; John Carrato, Alfred Benesch & Company in Chicago; Joe Chiczewski, ESI Consultants in Naperville, Ill; and Phil Houser. The winners for best low net were Andy Cummings, Connolly & Wicker in Jacksonville, Fla.; Don Chandler, AMEC Environment & Infrastructure in Durham, N.C.; Ben Lilly, Hankins & Anderson in Glen Allen, Va.; and Stu Matthis, STV in Charlotte, N.C.
