Ballot questions in Texas, Maryland, Wisconsin and Louisiana will decide whether the states use tax dollars to increase transportation spending.

In Texas, Proposition 1 would create a constitutional amendment earmarking revenue from the state's oil and gas severance tax to the state highway fund.

In Maryland and Wisconsin, voters will consider amending the state constitution to establish a fund to used only for transportation.

Louisiana voters will decide whether to use state funds to capitalize a state infrastructure bank.
