ACEC/Kentucky became the eighth state to reach its 2014 PAC fundraising goal this week joining Indiana, South Carolina, Delaware, Hawaii, Wisconsin, Tennessee and Nevada.

This is the fourth year in a row that Kentucky has reached 100 percent.  Several more states are poised to reach this milestone by the end of the summer—reflecting the unprecedented pace and strength of ACEC/PAC fundraising this year.

ACEC/KY PAC Champion Karen Wood of HMB Professional Engineers in Frankfurt is proud of the accomplishment.  “With the Highway Trust Fund fix still on the table, we reminded our members that continued support of ACEC’s advocacy program is essential,” said Wood.

The resources provided by Kentucky and other ACEC/PAC contributors are particularly timely in this last week before Congress breaks for the August recess, as lawmakers are actively soliciting contributions. This month alone ACEC/PAC disbursed over $100,000 to candidates in both the House and Senate.

ACEC/PAC will again have a strong presence at the upcoming ACEC Fall Conference in Waikoloa, Hawaii—its annual golf tournament is scheduled for Tuesday, October 21 and Wake Up with ACEC/PAC is scheduled for Thursday, October 23.  For more information, visit the events page on the Fall Conference website. For more information about ACEC/PAC and ACEC’s political programs, contact Greg Knopp, ACEC’s Executive Director for Political Affairs or Cara Gavagan, ACEC/PAC Director.
