Following House Majority Leader-elect Kevin McCarthy's statement that the charter of the Export-Import Bank of the United States should be allowed to expire on September 30, ACEC has ramped up its lobbying efforts to prevent the Bank's expiration.

In a strongly worded letter sent to all members of the House and Senate, ACEC stated, "Failure to act on a long-term reauthorization threatens many American jobs that depend directly or indirectly on the Bank's crucial export financing."

The Ex-Im Bank finances and insures foreign purchases of United States goods and services, enabling American firms to compete against those of other countries whose governments actively support their financing efforts.
